I got a number of drives, the ones in my sig. I spend a large amount of time just shuffling things between drives just to keep everything organized. Id like to create a span so i could organize it over one or two volumes, but to my understanding if you lose one drive on a span you will lose all of your data. Meby some 3rd party program that will scan all the drives and list them as one volume and then it will transfer files accordingly. Is this even possible? How do you guys keep your drives organized? Ultimately id like to make a raid 5 array with some huge ass drives but at the moment money is short. Thanks for any help you can offer.

At the very least id like to be able to view and organize my files on a single list it doesn't matter if it actually reorganizes the files on the drives.

Nope, the closest is JBOD, and sometimes you can recover from that, sometimes you can't..

you could try some of the dynamic drive options I guess.

Alternately, you could always mount two of the drives as folders to have everything on one drive.
