  With this new build my monitor wont work, its not the monitor itself because it works perfectly on my other 2 computers, ive tried taking everything out of the case and setting it up on my wooden desk and the motherboards cardboard box iv tried using the vga plug from my motherboards onboard video and the one on my video card iv also tried new ram so now im thinkin it may be the psu(everything powers up fine the fans spin and everything) but the motherboard wont work when I have the 4pin plug pluged into the motherboard(it has an arrow on it is it meant to point toward the psu or the 20pin connector?)anyway when it is plugged in with the arrow pointing toward the psu the fans spin for a second then power off, when I turn the plug around and make the arrow face the 20 pin plug nothing at all happens. Also I get 1 beep when I turn it on without the 4pin conector plugged in, could the 4pin plug not being plugged in affect the monitor?

Thanks:)

Good chance it is the psu, or the mobo. Couldn't you hook the mobo up to another psu on another case pretty easily to try it out? I would try that, otherwise double check or go online to see how that 4 pin connector should be plugged in properly, might have damaged something having it plugged in wrong.

Well I tried changing every component I even took it out of the case a few times and set it up on my wooden desk and after all that I found out I had the wrong 4pin plug in the 4pin connector...;) :o

Glad to hear it's working now.
