vista/xp problems

i uninstalled vista ultimat x64 final from my laptop because i wanted xp back( a few things that are essential to me do not have drivers out yet for vista), long story short, xp setup will not see a hard drive now. i have tried reformating with no luck. i even tried linux and it can however see the hard drive and write to it. ne ideas??

It isn't visible in disk management?

Right click my computer and go to manage...

cant find anything that would help me ne one have and idea as to why i cant install xp back? bump

Format the drive and an put in a blank partition (FAT32 or NTFS). I know I had similar trouble with going from 64bit Vista to 32 bit Vista install because I formatted my drive, but it wasn't partitioned.
