Technet Direct Subscription

Okay, so I finally got the approval to purchase a subscription today. I definitely got the Direct subscription...so why does it say my expected delivery date is Feb 3rd? What would I need delivered? Or is this just standard language, and my welcome e-mail with reg info will come soon?

If this belongs in another section, may a mod feel free to move it. Thanks.

I dunno. I got the full, disk-based subscription.

Maybe they're sending along a welcoming kit, or something. Have you received access to the site and so on?

Nope...I got the confirmation e-mail, saying that the order was processed (which came right after I placed the order online). I was expecting a second e-mail with my login info for the site.

It takes a week to get your shiny plastic Technet subscriber card that you can show off to your friends and family.

First you get this email: Microsoft Item Paid -- Order Number: Something Long and Boring
Then comes this about 9 hours later:

Per your request, please find the TechNet Invoice below:
...

And at the bottom of the email is this little tidbit
00xxx1xxxx. zETTechNet



You can use that x'd out ID to register for your account after 24 hours.

I just got the Item Paid e-mail last night at 7 PM....hopefully the one you mention comes sometime today!

Where are you guys ordering your subscriptions? Direct from Microsoft?

Call the technet support # and they can give you the code you need to associate your new subscription to a Live login ID.
