Will sidestepping Activation ruin my Vista key?

All right, let's clarify I am NOT pirate, and not asking how to pirate. I own a full copy of Vista Business.

Can I install my legit Vista with my legit key, but use the VMWare KMS server spoof to activate it? I upgrade quite often, and have had no end of problems with activation. If I use the VMWare trick, it won't put my fully legit key on the WGA blacklist, will it?

Nope, it won't work. The KMS server will look at your legit key and invalidate it because it's not from a volume license.

So I have to have a "volume" key for the KMS server to activate it? A key that, I'm assuming, doesn't come in a standard retail Business version?
