Well since I'm the "comp" person in my family whenever family has a problem who do they call? Me. I tried figuring this one out and searched on ms site with no answers. Just wondeirng if anyone here can help me. the problem is that whenever I open a program on the laptop the program won't show up on the taskbar. I asked my uncle what he, or whoever used the laptop, did and he couldn't tell me. thanks for sending up river without a paddle so aside from my little rang here is what I tried, closing the "quick launch" toolbar and the taskbar just "auto-hides" in a sense, except that I cannot click/drag it back up. I reopened the quick launch and tried to move the taskbar from the bottom to the sides or the top but it won't move at all. I tried changing the desktop theme to see if it would reset something. Alt-tab works fine but my uncle likes the "convenience" of the taskbar.
