Lets start off, i have no experience with dual booting.
I will be building a new system this weekend, and would like to install Vista on it.
However i was wondering if it was wildly possible to remove my old hard drive with xp (and all my important data) on it, attach to the new mobo and somehow dual boot??
Or is this method not possible full stop...
anyway any advice would be great!

First off, attaching your old drive from your old system will create problems itself, because of different mb drivers etc. If this drive contains IMPORTANT data, I suggest you back it up, before trying any dual boot thingy, because if you screw up ,the data on that drive may just become inaccessable. I'm not saying it can't be done, but be sure of what you are doing. Most people would just make the old drive a slave. There are posts about how to move a drive into a new pc without formatting. It usually involves taking out most of the old mb drivers, and then installing the drive in the new pc.
