I just got an opteron 165 and put an AC freezer pro 64 on it. I had to cut the connection of it off so it would fit on my motherboard. So after splicing in a 3 prong connector it seems to be working fine. I'm not sure but it may be my chipset fan, but it is running at around 3900 rpms...is that about right or is that the cpu fan?

Temps:
CPU - 38 c
Core 1 - 38 c
Core 2 - 36 c
North Bridge - 46 c

No overclocking has been done yet, since I want to make sure the temps are going to be ok.

It should spin at about 2600rpm full speed. Temps look fine, maybe slightly high, but could just be your room is warm.

3900RPM is too fast to be the AC. Thats very likely you're chipset fan, buddy. Those temps sound right on for a dual core CPU. I have a Freezer 64 non-Pro and it is awesome! It runs at around 2200RPM. Yours is probably running around the same speed.

mines @ full speed and idling at 84F I didnt use the rpm monitoring wire, I just left it and plug it into the 3-pin connector

EDIT: didnt know they made a non-pro version, checked my box, I got a pro
