First of all, is WarioWare going to be sold out fast? I have a gift card at CC and don't want to not get the game for a long time because of supply problems, so I may camp out if necessary.

Second, is it going to be really good? I heard some reviews on it, but not too many, what is the general attitude towards the multi-player aspect of it?

It seems that overall everyone is extremely impressed with it. Even Gamespot gave it a 9.1

Anyone find this game today?

Everywhere I called did not have it in stock yet.
Gamestop was the only store that got it, but they were sold out.

EDIT: Just called Circuit City, they had stock, but are also now sold out.

Wow. Looks like I'm not the only one that wants this game.

huh? I didn't even hear about it until I was browsing games online today, to me its another lame Wario game.

edit: IGN gave it a 7.8, DO NOT WANT.

What the hell review are you looking at?
IGN gave it a 8.2
and Gamespot gave it 9.1

Whatever, this game is awesome.

The game looks good, I still don't have a Wii though so I can't say I'll be getting it soon.

We dont buy games from the UK.
Either way, what is YOUR point? You obviously dont like the game, so dont buy it.
In any case, forget the IGN review, Gamespot gave it a 9.1 and since I have already seen about 20 minutes of the game I agree with them. (Apparently everyone around my town does too, since its SOLD OUT everywhere.)

MrBojangels
01-15-2007, 08:11 PM
You can release 3 copies of a game per store and say it is awesome because it sold out? Just because something is selling out is not proof it is good or even in high demand.

Dude, quit hating.
There is nothing that you can say that is going to change anyone else's opinion on this game. Its a great game, just deal with it.

Not really my style of game and I already own one party game (Rayman).

I might pick it up in a few months if I can find it used.

Wow... completely forgot that all of us are American here...

That aside. I got bored with the old warioware games really quick but I'll still be buying this one because they're fun while they last.

Oh for fuck's sake, we're arguing over 4 tenths of a point?

Jesus, it's an obvious party game, simple, fast fun, end of story. Like any other game it appeals to some and not to others, but the reviews seem to agree it makes good use of the Wiimote.

Christ. No wonder the world's in a shambles.

You mean 2 fifths, and "world's in a shambles"?

:) Just being an ass

I couldn't get out to pick it up today cuz I wasn't driving in an ice storm, and probably won't be able to get it tomorrow for the same reason. Hopefully I can get it wed. Looks like a bunch of fun, especially w/ friends.

How many wii games are just going to be minigames collections for the wiimote? I hope there are more zeldas and fewer rayman/wiiplay/wariorware/wiisports.

If you like minigames though this will probably be the best one, wariowares usually are.

SSX blur
Metriod 3
Project HAMMER
Mario galaxy
Necro-nesia
smash bros
Resident evil wii
Pilotwings

Same question could be applied to PC/PS3/360: How many freakin FPS are we going to have?

Technoob
01-15-2007, 09:34 PM
none of which are out, many of which won't be for a year.

I thought this was a wii thread, but yes, 360 has a plethora of shooters.

Netrat33
01-15-2007, 09:41 PM
It is a wii thread but you asked a valid question. You also have to remember that this is only month 3 of a system. It's already got a good selection of games. And you are going to get these party friendly games. I can deal with maaaybe...5. But all systems you have to sit back and wait for more stars. 360 it was almost a year for something for me to take interest in the system (Dead Rising, although waited for Lost Planet and Gears of War) PS3 is going to be the same thing (Lair, Metal Gear, FF) and Wii is goign to be no stranger to the same concept.

In the mean time: Enjoy these games with your friends.

I'll probably get it next month, this month I have to drop every extra cent to beef up my render farm :)

My first stab at this series ever. I really love it, can't wait to get back to school and play with a few other people because it's a lot of fun in short bursts. If my friends enjoy it as much as i do then it was a worthy purchase, because 50$ is a little steep for the very short single player experience.

But god damn with other people and alcohol this should be plenty fun.

talk about eyes lighting up when drunk though and playing a wii game.

I was playing Wii sports with a buddy and was bowling. Man his arm was SOOOO close to the tv one time. I said...ok...you need to back up or else we wont be friends anymore and I kill you :D

What's the best WarioWare games?

Specifically for my girlfriend to play?

DaRat
01-16-2007, 10:37 PM
Man there are so many simple ones she could play. It's not really hard at all to figure out, she'd probably like them all.

My personal favorite is the Starfox boss battles. I think everyone can agree that if we could download starfox from the virtual console we'd like to use the wiimote's motion sensing to control it.

how long does single player take to unlock? also how do you beat single player, the entire game is so convulated with some random stuff micro games.

DaRat
01-17-2007, 12:05 PM
Takes about 2 hours or so to unlock multi-player. You beat it by playing something like 15 games per "story" in a row. You go to different places to play these games and there is some story behind it which is worthless, but kind of funny. Not hard at all, and really fun.

Bowhuntr11
01-17-2007, 06:38 PM
I hate these games that require you to unlock multiplayer games...Rayman and now warioware...Wtf..I dont have the time to play for 2 hours and unlock these...I want to play multiplayer with my g/f and beat her. but nooooo...

So anyways...I've unlocked like 10 houses..How many more?

Technoob

Yeah, that's exactly what I want.

Some people don't like games that don't let you play multiplayer, or don't let you play more than 10% of the game's characters/cars/levels out of the box.

The Wii shouldnt be taking so long to get some AAA games. Its basicly the same thing to code for as the GC. All the games my roomie has are party/wiimote games, oh an zelda.

That sucks. I want some good games to play and unless we have a few people over the Wii sucks. Nintendo shoulda had a mario game at launch. PERIOD. This is a bad trend that the GC started. Remeber the 64.... Mario64 kept us happy for months while other games came along, and back then nintendo still had decent 3rd party support. I dont know what happened but they used to basicly have a stranglehold on the 3rd parties and have tonnes of games up till the 64. then they dropped the ball IMO

If somthing new other than a party game dosnt come out REALY fast, its gonna be colecting dust soon.

Yea thats the way to play it.

One of my friends and I started a bottle of Jack and started taking turns. Played for like an hour or so(had been playing more excite truck on super excite for a while before that). Will continue the fight tommorrow.

Except this game takes about 2 hours to unlock it, and it's actually really useful before playing the game. Hell, it only uses one controller in multiplayer anyways so you could pass it around during single player so everyone gets the hang of what is going on.

This is a great game to play if you are under the influence of drugs/alcohol. lol

frankyk
01-18-2007, 02:27 AM
if you're not under the influence, this game is retarded.

btw, takes 11 of those 13-15 stage clears to unlock multi-player, it took me about 1 hour 45 minutes.

i can't believe how trivial the games are and how stupid multi-player is.

sigh, i'm frustrated.

I dont know why but i was expecting more from this game, its still bloody good fun though, i dont mind unlocking multiplayer, it gives me time to get used to the game before inviting people round for drinks parties. Again this is another party game where eventually you will need friends round to play it, otherwise its like rayman for me and wont be used until people are around for multiplayer. Keep em coming! Whats next!?
I dont know why people hate unlocks, it gives you chance to try hard and get used to the game. like others said u can always pass the wiimote around on single player.

Everyone knows this game will sell out like hotcakes, it will be the biggest selling game on the wii i think, but i reckon when more good wii games come out there will be a lot of second hand ones knocking about. Overall i love the game but i thought there would be more, think the hype has spoilt it for me.

Multiplayer sucks....its not even really multiplayer, its just single player pretty much. Was expecting more from the multiplayer...oh well, its still a good single player game. Might sell it though due to wanting multiplayer games for my wii (Wii Sports is STILL the best multiplayer game...great....)

I'm surprised you feel that way, since the Wii already has Rayman, Wiiplay, WarioWare available for it and you think none of those are better than Wii sports? You seem to be in the minority, especially after having looked at the reviews.

I'm excited to pick it up (returning to school today where my Wii has been this whole break :( ) and have some good ole fashioned drunk gaming!

For those complaining about the complexity of the games or its multiplayer, have you really played Wario Ware in the past? Smooth Moves is no different than previous versions. It's still the same 2-3 second fast twitch type games.

I'm a fan of the previous WW games. And I'm a huge fan of Smooth Moves as well.

Wiiplay is Feb 14th, I know I will be buying that one. A friend of mine picked this one up and I am waiting to get him over to play it, or hear what he thinks of it. I think it would make a fun party game, but I have Wii Sports and Monkey Ball for those wakey times.
