If in deed Microsoft brought out a 360 2.0 with the HDMI and 65 nm fab on the chips. and maybe Put the HD-DVD player inside. ( or at least silencethe current dvd player alittle LOL)

Would you want it?

And what if they offered a step up program for it like say 100 bucks? with a turn around of 2 weeks.

i think they will sell the expanded HDD seperatly and keep the 20 gigs for the bundle.

if it is true and all.

If they made a new 360 i wouldn't be mad. i'm happy with mine as it is. ( except the dvd players loudness) but if MS offered an easy way to upgrade i'd be all over it. and i think it would be a respectfull thing for MS to do. they have made great strides in Customer support. it will be intersting to see what happens.

and you can all ways use your exsternal hddvd player for your media center pc ^_^.

No, the only thing they could do to annoy me is build in the HD-DVD drive and keep the price the same, but that wasn't even rumored to be in the revision so I really don't care. I've had my system since launch and this week alone it has probably seen over 40 hours of gaming easy.

I don't want a larger HD, HDMI, I especially don't want HD-dvd, and I don't need a cooler chip. (mine doesn't get hot really).

All I want is a dvd drive that's more quiet.

I wouldnt mind HDMI as my TV supports it and then I can upscale my DVD's but that is much of a issue to me. It would be nice if the system itself is much more quiet. My 360 does work a sweat though so a cooler system would also be nice.

HDMI is nice, but not needed. Component is perfectly fine. My console gets hot, but not any hotter than say my Dreamcast did. It hasn't failed me either, and this is a launch day console, so I could care less about temps.

BTW, there is about a 0.6% chance MS will build an HD-DVD drive into the 360 in the next four years. The HD-DVD drive isn't $200 because that seems like a good price to MS, it costs that much because it costs like $150 to make. They've just started actually making money on the 360s. Why would they go ahead and put in an HD-DVD drive to make the thing exponentially more expensive just so that the few people who have HD-DVDs can play them?

BTW, that isn't a knock on HD-DVD, I will probably get the drive later this year. But to build it into the 360 would probably the last thing MS would want to do right now.

And a step-up program would never happen either. It's not a new console, it's the same 360 with a hardware revision. It's actually really surprising the 360 hasn't been through a revision yet.

They couldnt integrate the HD DVD drive anyway. HD DVD cant read the Xbox games so it would be a waste. It will always remain external.

one of the biggest selling points to the 360 is that an hd-dvd player is available, but it is optional. so i see no point in them integrating it into the system. and the hard drive has more than enough space for me.

I want that 120 gig drive. That would be nice.

not true. they just made it that way for the external device.

I'd happily pay a little more for a HD-DVD version as long as it was quiet when reading DVDs (and had 12x DVD performance). Will not be buying one until a v2 of some sort is released anyway so I'm hoping for at least HDMI and a MUCH bigger hard drive (or a caddy, which would be ideal).

Oh, and make it black please. Don't want to be voiding the warranty with a replacement case and I'm not sticking a white bit of equipment into my AV setup.

If it were indeed all that plus a HD-DVD player then I would be happy with a trade-in plus $100 program or some such....if it's just the HDMI and 65nm then I wouldn't bother.

The only thing I really would like is a bigger hard drive. Especially with Guitar Hero II coming out. I intend on downloading many extra songs for that particular game.

I don't care about HDMI, and I don't care about having an HD-DVD drive built in. The smaller chip is already coming, and that's not a huge deal. The only thing I'd really like to see is they drop the price of the 20 gig hard-drive, since it's so expensive for only 20 gigs, and then release a larger drive (at least 80, but 120 would be great), at a price near that of a computer hard-drive you can buy at any store.

All I want is an Xbox 360 that will work for more than 3 out of 9 months :p

I'm SO fucking jaded and jealous of you guys with WORKING units. I can't believe I was dumb enough to pay $75 to get GoW CE on the idea that MS was going to have my 360 back to me in tip-top shape a few days later. *Sigh*. At this rate by the time I have a functional system Gears will be a greatest hits title for $20, heh. *Sigh*...

What's going on with that lately?

I'm fine with my 360 as it is. I dont need HDMI as i use vga on my 24" pc monitor. I dont need HD-DVD since i only have a 24" pc monitor and dont see any difference from upscaled regular dvd unless i'm sat less than 2 foot away. I dont need a bigger HD since i dont tend to keep game demos once i've finished them and video marketplace is pointless to me.

I'll be fine till the next xbox comes in 4 or 5 years.

I would buy a XBOX360 with a built in HD-DVD drive in a heartbeat .... as such I am still waiting to purchase a 360. Oh well whatever comes first Halo 3, or built in HD-DVD drive.
