I sold "Katin" my old ASRock Socket 939 motherboard for $55. We were supposed to cross ship. I sent tracking info, then he replied with the following BS excuse:
let me know i'm about to head out to post office in 15 min
i am still stuck at the house cuz of my roomate isn't home yet.(he's hour late lol) I will give you priority mail confirmation as soon as he gets home. I live right next to airport, they have 24/7 post office so it's np.
And its now 2 days later and thats the last I heard from him. He's been online ignoring my PM's. Is there a way I can stop the USPS shipment before it gets to him?

He has been a known troll for years. Why would you cross-ship with someone without checking his background first.

And if you check around there are few more threads about people who had bad experiences with him.

I'm new and unexperienced, and I made the mistake of not checking references.

I sold him my board, he was going to send me a money order. So you could say it's a trade, mobo for money.
I need to know if it's possible to cancel my shipment.

It's possible, call:
1-800-ASK-USPSŪ or (800) 275-8777
and ask USPS! ;)
Good luck!

UPDATE:
Katin contacted me thru PM and gave me a DC# and MO#, along with saying he threw an extra $5 in for sending late payment. Still doesn't excuse not responding to PM's. We'll see if he really sent it soon.

Not really. I run into the same issues with sales-gone-bad on my forum. If you ban the scammers, then you're opening yourself up to liability if you for whatever reason fail to ban a scammer at some point. The user can then sue you saying "well you ban scammers, but you didn't ban him, and I lost out. Pay up."
He may or may not win, but who wants the legal expenses and hassle?
