I recorded on old LP to my computer as wav files at 96kHz/24bit. Apparently Nero cannot burn these to an audio cd so I just used my converter to change them to 44.1kHz/16 bit so Nero would be happy. It's a solution for now but what are the options? Thanks.

An audio CD is only 16bit 44.1kHz , if you want to keep 96/24 you need to burn the tracks on data CD but I don't think that you can play the file directly from the CD without copying it back to the hard drive because of the CD drive's bandwidth limitation.
You would have to record it to a data cd as data files (not as an audio CD) and use a player than can playback the 24 bit sound. (Like another computer with a capable sound card or one of the car stereos with 24 bit support).

Thanks. That's what I discovered after doing some googling. Next time I'll just record at 44.1/16 in the first place. Just making sure all the features on my Elite Pro works.
