On the X360 can I use any Wireless USB device to connect online?

Whats different about the Microsoft X360 Wireless Adapter from the Wireless adapter I have using for my PC to connect online?

Cant thats why Im asking "...."

My ordered X360 will not be here for a few days "..."

The difference between your PC's wireless adapter and M$'s wireless adapter is that M$ doesn't make any money off of your PC's wireless adapter. So it won't work cuz the x360 only has drivers for M$'s wireless adapter.

No, however ANY wireless ethernet bridge will work. I got one for $19.99 off Newegg that works just fine.

edit. Let me clarify (since nobody is doing so). NO USB adapter will work outside of the MS one. Why ? Because USB devices require drivers, and only the MS USB adapters drivers are pre loaded onto the 360. If you plug any other USB wireless hub in, it simply just won't detect it.

An ethernet wireless bridge works exactly the same HOWEVER it plugs into the ethernet port requiring NO driver install on the 360. This works 100%, do not let anyone tell you it doesn't. I have it setup like this at my house, my bosses house, my neighbors and have had 2 co workers do the same.

Ethernet Wireless Bridge = answer to your problem.

I tried 3 different wireless adapters on my 360...so I'm gonna say no. I'm sure MS isn't supporting 3rd party adapters so they can get their $100 for the one they sell. Even Tivo isn't that bad..

I use a Linksys WRT54-G with hacked firmware acting as a wireless bridge to give my 360 and my PC internet when I at home.

At school it just functions as a router, because the 360 and PC are right next to it.

Could you guide us to said $19.99 bridge at the Egg? I couldn't find it.
