Vista Device Manager Help

In my device manager under Network Adapters, it shows my dlink wireless card name with #4 attached to it. Everytime I uninstall and reinstall the driver, it increases the number. How do I rename it so it doesn't have the number?

I've searched online, but the only fixes I found were for Windows XP and the noted registry strings don't correspond with Vista.

I have no problems editing my registry. Can someone help me out please?
