I've did all the steps in the Help and Support page that microsoft gave me, I went to power options, then to the hibernation tab, and then checked enable hibernate. But when I press turn off computer in the start menu, it still says standby, instead of hibernate. How can I enable hibernate?

Go to power options -> advanced

"when I press the power button on my computer" Select hibernate

also, go to user accounts -> select how users log on and off
de-select "use the welcome screen"

and then you can click start -> turn off computer -> hibernate

When Hibernation is enabled and you go to Start - Shutdown - and you see Standby on the "menu," just hold the Shift key. The Standby button changes to Hibernate. Click it, you're done.

Simple. :)

EDIT:

That's with the Welcome Screen enabled, mind you. If you turn it off, you get the Classic logon/logoff box which always has the Hibernate option enabled as a choice.
