Question: I want to have a 3 monitors setup (on one pc) but I'm not sure of the best or cheapest way to do it.

One option would be the Matrox triplehead2go but thats $300, Id like to avoid that if possible.

I was thinking about getting a second pci video card to add extra outputs, but how would that work with my 8800gtx (pci-e of course)? Wouldnt the drivers mess up.....

if your going to add PCI cards, get the same brand ( NVIDIA) as your main cards, will save any posibly issies

getting some PCI cards is the best way, i think you can even get some PCI cards with dual outputs.

Yes but the 8800gtx uses different drivers than the rest of the nvidia lineup, so it wouldnt be the same drivers

i have a 3 monitor setup like you.
2 monitors are the 1900xtx and then i bought a radeon 9200 or something PCI 128mb ram. and it drives my 26 LCD tv. i use it to watch movies off my PC while iam on my bed.
sadly i havent watched any movies on that LCD in a while just TV.

you should deff. get both ATI or both nvidia cards. its a easy setup, make sure you set the boot from PCI express if you gonna use that as youre primary display card or w.e
