2 questions:

1) Is it compatible?
2) Is Wavebird comfortable? It looks a little big towards the "finger grip" wrap around area.

1) Yes.

2) I found it comfy the one time I used it. IGN liked it quite a bit. (http://gear.ign.com/articles/361/361933p1.html) It has no rumble though.

Yes, I used mine the other day.

And I personally found the Wavebird to be the most comfortable controller of the last-generation, although it's bested by both the 360 pad and the Wii-mote this gen.

I like the regular controllers better because they have rumble. But the WaveBird is compatible, just make sure it's base and the controller are on the same channel!

Yeah, mine works too, and I think it's uber comfortable. It would be perfect if it had rumble, but it's still great.

And at some point recently, Nintendo came out and stated that the Wavebird is officially supported for the Wii, so you're doubly good to go. Have fun. :)

I love the wavebird. Yes it is compatible, but just be sure you know, as others have said, there is no rumble.

I bought my wavebird controller just over a year ago and the pack-in batteries are still in it! I don't play it all the time, but it's definitely seen over 30 hours of use.

I've been using mine as well. I'm actually thinking about picking up a couple more so I can get some many-player Bomberman games going. :)
