HDTach isn't representative of a desktop workload. It doesn't have much real-world significance.

props for using PNG, you have just earned 200 brownie points with me ;) yeah that looks fine for a 250GB SATA drive of an older generation. As U_M pointed out, HDTach does not tell the whole picture about a drive's performance. Unfortunately, I cannot suggest a better benchmark at this time.
