After some serious googling and process of elimination work, I discovered that ehtray.exe is conflicting with my wireless reciever used by my MS wireless keyboard/mouse. This causes the screensaver to quit working. Click here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911895/en-us) for Microsoft's awesome solution.

It appears that Microsoft has no plans to fix this bug and I'd really like to get my screen saver working again. If I keep ehtray from opening during startup and rename it so it quits opening altogether, what damage will I do?

Furthermore, any ideas on how to implement a fix without sacrificing ehtray? I already have all the latest OS updates, Intellipoint software, and drivers for the receiver.

Anytime you aren't sure of a process, google it's exact filename:

ehtray.exe is a process is the tray bar process for the Microsoft Media Center. It gives you easy access to the digital media manager. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling it is down to user preference.

I did a bit of googling, but most descriptions are a little vague and sometimes conflicting. So I'd lose easy access to the digital media manager? That could mean a few things...
