Hi all,

Just dual booted my machine (using Ubuntu Dapper) and I'm interested in being able to keep all my e-mail up to date within both OSs. I have a FAT32 partition that both OSs can see - is there anyway I can accomplish what I am looking to do? I use Outlook 2003 in Win XP and either Evolution or Thunderbird (doesn't matter as long as I can get it to work) in Ubuntu.

BTW - I used Outport to convert my .pst file to something evolution can read - but that's really only half of my solution.

Any input is appreciated! Thanks!

Use IMAP.

Using Thunderbird of the same version *may* work if they're both pointed to the same directory.

EMI_426']Use IMAP.

I agree, if he's running his own mail server or his email provider offers it.

I have 8 computers plus my workstation that I hop to and from. It's so nice to have all the messages on the server instead of downloaded with POP3.

Leave messages on server might work.

I check my e-mail using mutt on the mail server itself, via Squirrelmail if all I have is web access and through Thunderbird, Outlook Express, Outlook or Mail.app if I have a machine I can run an IMAP client from. It doesn't matter where or how I check my mail as long as it talks IMAP (plus SSL/TLS and PLAIN/LOGIN-type auth).
