has anybody loaded a recent iteration of Linux on an SGI 540 workstation? I know there was an effort a number of years back to get all the hardware working, but I kind of lost following up on it, and the sourceforge project just sort of trailed off.
It does say in some notes that the support is there in recent kernel versions, but I'd like to be sure before I start in on a load and screwing around w/ the ARC loader crap.
If you've done this, what flavor did you use, any gotchas?
