I rip all my audio cd's via WMP and then move them to a portable USB drive & MP3 player (Creative Zen) and it always cries about the desktop.ini files in ever music folder I have. I remember reading somewhere that there is a way we can disable this so there are no desktop.ini files generated. I know that I can hide them but the fact is that they are still there...

Can someone please help me and show me how I can disable this from XP.

Thanks!

Expert Exchange take on it (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP/Q_20443471.html)

Basically stop having customized folders. When you stop that then you stop having that file generated.
