Vista RC1, no mouse or KB after sleep

I have Vista RC1 running and after I put my computer to S3 sleep and wake it up, the keyboard and mouse won't work. That is, no mouse arrow and the keyboard will not even light up the caps lock. They are standard keyboard and mouse, not USB. This was working with my XP setup.

any ideas?
