Broken SATA connection on 300gb Seagate?

i just send in an RMA to Seagate, do you think they will honor it?
also i did the $24.95 advanced return thing, where they send you out a new drive and postage for the broken drive, did i mess up doing that? i thought it was a pretty good idea but this is my firs RMA for anything.

i honestly have no clue, i was trying to install windows and it kept crapping out, i finally went into investigate and found that. I've had other drives in that case and they are all fine, this one is weird.
