question on ghost software

I used to use ghost.
Well I have a home network and want to get back into keeping a good image of my systems.
They are selling copies of ghost 8 and ghost 9 for cheap....about $17.99. Since ghost 10 is out.

can any of these do an image across the network.
What I am curious about is if I install it on one system is that the only system you can make an image of or can you make an image of other systems on your local network?

I could never get them to work myself... tried aross a network with 9. So i switched to acronis home edition. Although i havent tried it across a network, the options are there in program i have noticed. I use a 300 gig usb drive to keep my backups.
