I was thinking of upgrading the hard drive on my laptop from this
Toshiba MK4026GAX (40gb, 16mb cache) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822149015R)
to this
SAMSUNG HM120JC (120gb, 8mb cache) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822152032)
The Toshiba is the one that came with my dell. While the main reason I am upgrading is to get more space to store things, I was a little worried about the decrease in cache size. Is the smaller cache going to mean a slower drive? Will it be offset by the higher data density on the Samsung?
