I'm sorry because I get the sense that this will be a total noob question, but this is my first install in a few years. I installed XP onto a SATA drive as my boot drive. It shows up as 137 gigs, obviously. Now I've installed SP2, but it's still registering as 137 gigs. Is there anything I can do to open up the rest of the space on the drive? Or will I have to make some partitions?
Integrate SP2 into your install disc (nlite works great for this) and start over.
Or, you can use something like ghost to resize the partition.

Thanks for the suggestions. As it turns out, I just opened up disk management and the rest of the drive was there to be made into a new partition. I love it when a plan comes together.
Oh, and every time I see this newegg college ad pop up on the top of the screen and look at it while I'm typing here, I keep thinking the kid is Fonzie.

There are also programs to merge partitions, too. Partition Magic definitely works...although the stuff on my 2nd drive didn't transfer over very well. Still, I like having only one drive and I was in the exact same position only a week ago.
