I am looking for a freeware application that can read the S.M.A.R.T. infor from my drives, so i can see their individual temperatures, etc. Are there any apps you reccomend?

Give this a look. I have been using HDD Health for a while now and am reasonably satisfied with it. It has had no problems with my IDE and SATA drives but does not report SMART info from my SCSI drives and RAID arrays.

SCSI drives don't have SMART. Only ATA drives do. Self diagnostics on SCSI drives are proprietary to the maker. Only your RAID BIOS can report SMART data from the members of a RAID array of ATA drives, as the individual members of a RAID array are not accessible to the operating system.

I just found this utility yesterday. Has HD benchmarking, SMART output and surface scan for bad blocks. Free.

AIDA is a great system tool that will also read the SMART info of your drives. Check it out. It is really nice.

Yeah. It is under the SMART section. I guess it does for all drives, but I know it does for mine (WD2500KS). It is listed with all the other SMART attributes.

Then what can I use to monitor my hard drives? I have a 3ware 9500s PCI-X card, what software can monitor those hard drives then? 3ware shows me the raw SMART data of the drives but that doesn't do me a whole lot of good right now.
Thanks in advance! :)
