Hi,

As the title suggests I need advice for getting overlock friendly memory for the combo:
Asus p5w DH deluxe
Intel Core 2 Duo e6600

(I'm getting the Radeon x1900 GT also if that helps any?)

I've read some and by myself have come to the conclusion that "g.skill" and "team" brands are good with OCing, but I don't trust my own conclusions. I'd like some more input.

Or would perhaps this one do fine?:
"Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 2048MB CL5 Kit w/two matched CM2X1024A-6400 Dimm's"
The tests on these forums doens't seem to speak too well about the Corsair OCability though =/

And PLEASE don't refer to some techie number post/guide. I'm not very good at t3c413  .
Just some, "Yeah, g.skill rocks with that combo" will do fine :D

Pretty much any PC6400 RAM will work fine. You don't have to get 'OC'ing RAM' if it's rated at PC6400, but G.Skill and Corsair have some decent priced 2X1GB Match sticks for around $175 with 5-5-5-15 timmings. If you're not shooting for the moon, I'd say just get some G.Skill or Corsair P6400

I got the gskil HZ but a stupid mounting bracket isn't coming for my Ninja until monday. Anyways my "t3c413" research led me to that. We'll have the same rig cpu/ram/mobo. Ah how cute. :p

They are supposed to be Micron Fat Bodies that people like correct me if I'm wrong somebody. Anyways, it's pricier than the 5-5-5 stuff but I don't mind. It's not just the timing for me but the chips. Lots get closer to DDR1000 with them. I like having a little fun.

the one i have in my sig is great and manages Cas4 at ddr980 , at ddr1000 it goes to cas5.

I plan to run it in between 900 and 1000mhz , SuperTalant DDR800 , I have read ten reviews and are great , not one said anything bad about them brilliant modules.

Give the people a budget and you watch the ammount of memory they come up with, mad people in this forum ,and they do mad overclocks.

The G.skill is good stuff for that rig. Team Group ram should do very good aswell. Both use D9GMH which is very good stuff and are excellent oc'ers

Note myself and I believe Cpt twitchy are both talking about the HZ when it comes to the chips. The normal stuff is probably ok, just not as giving.
