So I've been out of the country computerless for 3 months and christ, all this new stuff is amazing.
The problem I'm having are these double underlined advertisements that when selected, bring up a menu of stupid info. I know it's spyware, so I had my browser block Ads and Popups. (I'm using the latest Avant Browser. IE plugin) I closed the browser, ran spybot and it got rid of it. But it keeps coming back even though it says I'm blocking these scripts. Can anyone help me out? I used to not be so helpless, I swear.

Relax, it's not a problem on your end. It's just a new advertising program they are using here called intellitxt.

They, huh? The man has got me down yet again. Thanks for your help. I'll work towards disabling it now.

Well it's against the rules to discuss blocking the ads and can result in a permaban. This issue has been discussed many many times already in the feedback forum.

Those rules haven't changed. There's no way to disable them and after a few days, you don't mind them anymore.

Nah, they're still annoying.

I only notice them when my mouse moves over the text.
however, I for one, welcome our new corporate masters. :p

I was in Japan all summer and didn't get on a computer but two or three times. Since the advertisement things didn't exist before I left, there probably weren't rules about them.

As far as I remember, there were always rules about tampering with ads.

Well now, I wouldn't necessarily say that.
They still bug the crap out of me, but hey; what are you going to do.
Remember folks, if you want to help Kyle out, click on the newegg banner everytime you make a purchase. Then maybe we can get rid of the mouse over ads sometime in the future.

That's what I mean...they aren't going away, so you learn to live with them. In the beginning they really sucked because you couldn't read the green text...but since Kyle changed the color to a lighter green, that's solved. They don't bother me anymore, and aside from this thread, no one has really complained or mentioned them lately.
