I was considering creating profiles for my daughter and my wife in order to store their programs, games and data. Would the system suffer any loss of performance in doing this? Any reason why I should not do it?

Thanks - Aratech

nope can't say there is a performance loss. Just maybe a bit of disk space :). In fact it can be really clean. I spend time making sure that the all users profile contains shortcuts etc that we all use.. favorites blah blah. Then in each profile each user can have additional desktop shortcuts. Its quite handy.

Okay then, if no one else has a comment then I'll do it tonight. Thanks - Aratech

The only time I've seen this impact performance is if you had all three profiles open and running some tasks, and used the Switch User feature. If you're only logged into one profile at a time, you won't notice a difference.
