A bit late to ask this question now that I already got it, but the only reference I saw on this site pertains to Naga II which is said to be a P-MVA.
16.7 mil colors and 170 deg viewing angles would tell me it's not TN...but I'd be grateful if someone can shed some light, rather than me speculating.
Thanks

P-MVA (AUO M201EW01 V0) - that appears to be the panel it uses from the specs it has.

P-MVA. It's the same as the Viewsonic VX2025M, I think.

Same as Viewsonic 2025, Acer F-20, Acer 2051W, and Asus PW201

Thats interesting that they are the same panel because I had the Sceptre for about 5 months and recently got the Acer F20 at work and it looks completely different to me. I know the Ferrari is glossy but even taking that into account they don't look the same to me.

The electronics in the monitor have a lot to do with it to. And you can bet your ass Sceptre uses some crappy gear to run the panel.

That and the fact that the F-20 uses S-IPS...at least according to widescreen gaming forum http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php?title=Master_Monitors_List

I would find a better source for your information. I dont think Acer can afford to use S-IPS panels in their monitors for starters. Secondly even the worst S-IPS panel out there will spec out better than 170 degree viewing angle (apparently acer has upped this to 176 now?). Also take a look at LG-Phillips panel listing and try to find a S-IPS panel that specs out that low. Thirdly take a look at AUO sites and look at their 20 wide P-MVA specs and you will notice they match the F-20 perfectly along with the other monitors i listed above. It appears all 3 of Acers 20 wides use the exact same panel.

yes, it is confusing and you may be correct however...tftcentral http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/20inch_roundup.htm also puts the F-20 in the IPS category and even in a separate listing of panels they show 2-3 LG/Phillips S-IPS panels that have the same exact specs as the F-20. I do know there are 2 different versions of the F-20...the European model has a tv tuner, remote and extra inputs so maybe that one is P-MVA and the North American version is S-IPS? (or vice versa)
