What do you think of these temps...
I am running on Air Cooling with the following temps under Prime 95 Torture test.

Specs...
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester
Abit AT8 32X
2x Corsair CMX1024-3200 (3-3-3-8)
HIS IceQ3 X1900XT 512mb PCI-E x16
2x Seagate 320 - SATA
Samsung 300 gb - IDE
LITE-ON DVD+/-RW w/Lightscribe
Plextor Combo 320A
SeaSonic S12 600watt

My OC is 10.5x249=2618. My temps under Prime 95 are:
CPU=57c
NB=53c
System=34c
PWM=69

My voltage is:
vcore 1.425
DDRV 2.65
HTV 1.25
Rest default.

VTT is set to 800(4x)
DDR is set to 333

I left auto on memory other than speed because it gives me better timings than the memory is rated for...3-3-3-7.

I tried to keep the memory around stock because it really isn't that great for OCing. I am pretty satified with this OC if it remains stable. The CPU seemed to cap out at 2700 on my air cooling, but was not stable in Prime. So I switched to the 10.5 multiplier and got my bus high enough to to be using my Ram and VTT at full speed and I just stopped there. Looking pretty good right now under Prime 95.

What do you think of the Torture Test temps though? Really wish they were a little lower.

Looks good, except the load CPU temp. 57C seems a bit high. Its still well under AMD's recommended 65C maximum, but still,. cooler is better. Other than that, congrats. Fine job!!! :cool:

PS: That CMS memory can do 3-2-2-6 if you wanna do it.......just a thought

I did not realize that memory could do that.

My load temp for 3D Mark and Sandra Burn in never rises above 54c, it is just Prime 95 that really smokes the machine.

Unfornately core 0 failed Prime 95 after 2 hours. I am raising the HTV to 1.30 to see if that helps. I don't want to raise the vcore any more do to the temp.

I could try to reconfigure the Scythe Ninja's fan to pull in air from the front instead of the bottom. Someone remmended a bottom placement of the fan because they thought it would generate the best airflow through my case, an Antec P180. Seems to me it would make more sense to pull air in from the front of the case.

Well had to clear CMOS after I adjusted the timings of the memory...wouldn't post anymore...LOL

So I went back to the beginning on my overclock and was able to get Prime stable w/ a 1.4 vcore and 11x235=2585. Core 0 just did not like higher clocks unfortunately. Core 1 never failed.

Lowering my vcore to 1.4 and changing the scythe fan lowered my Prime load cpu temp to 55-56c. I am thinking about buying AS5 or Céramique, I used old AS3 on this build. Also considering a different HSF. But I will need to test with the case open and fans full speed to see if the Core 0 failures are temp or vcore driven.

But this is for another day, I am going enjoy the PC for a bit at this OC before I go back to the drawing board.
