Just bought this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103939) PSU in conjucntion with an mobo upgrade (my current one seems to have a few problems). It will have to power, perfectly stably, the following:
P4 530 (3.0Ghz Prescott) - no comments please :)
7600GT (evga, slightly overclocked to 580Mhz)
2HDDs (a seagate and a samsung)
2 80MM case fans
1 DVD-RW
1GB PC3200 ram, though I doubt that draws much at all
Currently, the system is running on a 500W PSU, but that will be needed to power my new beefy fileserver (6HDD, Pentium D, tons of fans, etc) and has run fine on a 480W thermaltake (and that was with 4HDs)

It will be a stretch, a TP 480 couldn't power the system in my sig well.

Hmm, very true. That is unfortunate. I also was just reagin up on other issues people have been having with the NeoHEs. Perhpas I will order another Enermax Liberty tonight and jsut return the Antec when it gets here...
EDIT: The reason i bough this is because the new mobo is 24 pins (ATX12V), but I all I currently have is a 20 pin model (the aforementioned thermaltake). Can that be used in place of a 24 pin model?

Yes the motherboard is keyed to accept the 20pin. And the Antec will be more than fine no need to throw the bay out with the bath water.

Perhaps it is time I posted the mobo I have purchased here it is (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131576)
I would hope that 430W from a quality PSU company would be enough to stably (I leave this thing on for weeks at a time and count on it's perfect stability) power this rig. Could somone resolve these two confilicing answers with data, or a personal experience?
If there is no risk to my H/W (I doubt there would be), I will certainly test out the Antec, I certainly like the quiet it promises, and will run it through a total stress test as sson as I get it (probably runnign checksums on both the drives (unless there is a better way to make the drives draw lots of power )while running 3dMark06)

I hope you have the best of luck, my experience isn't necessarily what you should expect.
