The Silver Knight WC-601 from Scythe Corporation is a Water/air cooled hybrid CPU cooler. The CPU cooler with the radiator and pump in one unit is compatible with CPU socket LGA 775 and socket 745/939/940.It is not compatible with socket AM2.The 8mm diameter copper pipe circulates chilled water and installation is easy compared with other compatible models. The on-board fan is placed in 92mm angle with speed regulator switch. At 2,600rpm the noise generated by fan is 25dB and at1,800rpm it is17dB.The flow of cooled water is 5.7L/h with noise below 20dB.The Silver Knight WC-601 measures 130×126.5×165mm and weighs 960g
Hmm.. I wonder what the temps will be..

holy fucking shit that thing looks hardcore!
then again, after having seen that kingwin self-contained loop do terribly, I'm wondering if this will do the job better than the Ninja.
EDIT I believe this (http://www.thinkcomputers.org/index.!!!!!!!!reviews&id=343&page=2) is the same product...under the evercool name.....for some reason the guy didn't even compare it to stock air cooling

Could be good. I am in the market for a new HSF for my 146, so I look forward to another option.

I'm not a big fan of the look. It seems to me that 1kg is pretty darn heavy too. Just doesn't seem like great of an idea to me.

wow, its hot indeed..my ambient is around 30c and my opt165 idles around 36-37 with the ninja+120mm fan and AS5. it loads around 51-52c but i feel i should be getting lower temps. i've reseated the ninja with new AS5 but am still getting the same results  i followed the arctic silver instructions too. anyone have suggestions on how to lower the temps?

Wow thats ugly! With a .095L/Minute flow rate i wonder if it will even perform on par with a stock cooler.

Heh.. my 805D with the Scythe Ninja + 120mm fan idles about 41-43ish, and under load gets up to about 62-63ish.. 805D's just run hot I guess.. tried 3 heatsinks so far.. stock, XP-120, and scythe ninja.. about the same temps

hmm that doesnt sound too bad for a 805D. im pretty sure the 805D runs hotter than the opterons and X2s. yesterday my idle went down to 34c; i think the AS5 is settling in (i recently reseated the HS).

well.. thanks for saying that cause I've been obsessing over this for the last month or so.. (I reapplyed thermal paste 3 times when the xp-120 was on it.. got some new thermal paste.. applied it again.. put the ninja on it..) today or tomorrow I'm going to reapply thermal paste after cleaning the cpu/heatsink with 99% alcohol (yay for random cleaning pad/packet left sitting around on my work), and apply it like Arctic says - half a BB/grain of uncooked rice, and push heatsink on.. usually I did the old school spread it out in a thin layer. Decided it can't hurt
