Hey, I'm really kind of getting curioius about the whole two-panel luck-of-the-draw thing with Dell 2007FPW flat panel monitors, or whether the LM201WE2 is even in ANY 2007FPWs whatsoever.
Post your info in the thread and vote on the poll.
Supposedly there are two kinds of flat panels manufactured by LG Electronics that are used in the 2007FPW: the LM201WE2 and a slightly older version of the same panel, the LM201W01.
To find out which panel your 2007FPW uses, enter the diagnostic menu by doing the following:
1. Turn power off.
2. Hold down the "Menu" and "+" buttons on the front.
3. Power on but keep holding "menu +" until the screen powers up.
4. Wait until the connector info dissapears off screen (ie, dvi connector/Dsub).
5. Press "-" button.
You should now see the diagnostic menu and somewhere on it will be the panel type, LM201WE2 or LM201W01. You can power off and back on now to get back to your desktop (or there may be an easer and more obvious way of exiting, I don't own a 2007FPW yet)
There really isn't any conclusive data about this yet, so I'd appreciate your contribution to my little study here! :p
Thanks.
