This is a pretty sweet little Vista thingie. I was playing EVE on my Vista beta system when I minimized it to check something. When I moused over EVE in the taskbar it actually showed what was happening in EVE in realtime in the little mini-window! No stuttering or anything either. Now I knew the preview thing was there, but I assumed it was more like a screenshot image. I mean sure EVE is more processor bound then most games, but I still thought thats pretty damn cool. I can autopilot to places and not have to switch back to EVE to see if I arrived yet. :D I actually switched EVE to windowed mode and then moused over the taskbar and they were completely in sync, no lag-time even.

Has anyone else noticed this with any FPS or other types of games? Is it this fluid with more graphics-bound games as wel?

i'd think that it's deigned to be that way, but i guess that it wud be related to your setup more so

Oh I know its designed that way, I just think thats pretty amazing. They ain't kidding about that whole "3D desktop" dealio. :p Maybe I'm easily amused...

Yeah, the previews are cool...don't like most of the other little pieces of "flair" they add, but the previews are really useful.

truely, the most useless, not say unappealing, feature is the flip 3d feature...i mean there's already alt+tab which does the job and the previews now add on. but the 3d feature is really just a gimmick to make ppl go 'woah'
