Hey guys,
This is the second SATA drive I have owned since SATA has been introduced.
My Seagate 80GB SATA drive has started making a high pitched "whizzz...zweep" kinda sound...hard to explain. But this is the EXACT same thing my Maxtor 80GB SATA did.
This isnt on the same rig, my Maxtor was on a NF7-S and this one is on a K8N Neo2 Platinum. I normally use this drive for nothing more than swapping music useing soulseek.
Is it possible Ive killed this damn thing?
My PSU is a PCP&C 510 Deluxe so it shouldnt be my voltages..which last I checked were reading 12.05-12.1ish 5.01v and 3.32v
I dont know what is causing this...but its annoying since once it starts happening windows slows to a crawl then locks.
