I have a friend that ha a 6.4GB HDD that is partitioned into 2 parts.... he is out of room on the main part(installed programs) while the other one just has a buncha files on it.
I want to....
A) Delete the partition
B) Ghost the HDD to a new 120GB
C) Use his 6.4 as a secondary HDD for storing files.
The problem, is that I am not sure how to get rid of that second parition without ruining anything.... can I just move the files to a USB drive, then use the XP tool and delete the second partition??

Ghost the OS partition over, copy everything off the secondary, and then delete and recreate as you wish. 120 GB is more than plenty of space if he had 6.4 before; I suggest you use the 6.4 as a backup device only (preferrably with another method, too - 6.4GB is pretty old).

I guess I have never tried this before.... so you are telling me, when I use my Ghost boot disk, that it will give me the option to just ghost a certain partition?? I thought you had to ghost the whole drive??

I'm pretty sure ghost operates on partitions... Try it and see.
