I've often wondered that myself. I'm from SW Florida.

lanmasters.net used to have them like three times a year. Theyve had four so far, i attended three of them. UNfortunately things got very expensive and interest has dwindled, at their peak- we had about 120 gamers inside the office depot center press room, towards its end only about 30-40 people showed up which was not enough for the price...they havent had one in about a year and a half now

I saw a place called Zero Ping when I was going to a movie a few days back. It's in the same plaza as the theatre and some other little shops. I haven't been in yet but maybe someone has any info regarding them. These gaming centers dont seem to stay open very long I hear...

yep, I know because I used to do the network and servers for lanmasters :D

unfortuantely any venue large enough to house a lan party down here in miami is way too expensive, and its not really feasable to do any on even a medium to large scale without some sort of corporate sponsors...

also the amount of time to plan and put together these lanparties was incredible... especially before and after the parties, putting together and taking apart the network, setting up enough power to handle all those machines etc...
