View Full Version : Having windows lock-out after time (requiring password) but not screensaver

As the title says, I couldn't find it anywhere, but I was looking to have it so that after a set period of time Windows will automatically lock out the user (me). I'm not talking about having a screensaver come up, but I've seen it before, where it basically looks like the logon screen of XP, where you have to click on your name to go back into Windows, and type in your password again.

Can someone direct me to where I set this option? I thought it'd be in the standard haunts, but I don't see it anywhere.

Thanks!

I've not seen this done outside the screensaver options, but this link (http://news.persianforum.net/default.asp?view=plink&t=article&id=1836) has another option.

Reading more, I think what you really want is the screensaver option, but use the logon.scr with password enabled.

Thank you very much kind sir! The link does exactly what I wanted! I thought for sure there was an option to have Windows do this somewhere, but no skin off my back!
