automatic search from IE address bar

Has anyone ever configured IE to search from the address bar to go and search an internal site instead of google, msn, etc? We have an internal site (a wiki) that we use for helpdesk reasons, and are toying around with the possibility of having users search from the address bar for questions, before contancting IT (and outside of going to the actual helpdesk site). if some has ever done something like this plz leave feedback
