Is it possible to set up a wireless network to share dial-up?

My laptop has a generic WirelessG card and I just got a WirelessB wireless router (Netgear) cheap.

How do I set this up so I can be on the laptop with internet connected on the host tower?

I currently have the host pc's ethernet port plugged into the WAN port on the router. With the laptop I can "see" the router but I dont know where to find the settings to put in www.routerlogin.com for then IP, DNS, Gateway, etc.

Am I doing this correctly? Any help is appreciated.

I have never set up a network, wired or wireless before. I know its dial-up (no high speed available in our area anyways), no other pc's will be used in this network, just want to be online on the laptop and there is a lack of phone cords in the house.

if u got a host PC and as long as your network is already set up all you have to do is enable WinXPs ICS Internet Connection Sharing. It good, works, doesn't mess anything up. However, it does not work with static IPs configured on the network. I could be wrong, but I had issues with Static IP. Network Connections > RIght Click Modem Connection > Properties > Advanced Tab > Enable the ICS and Allow others to Enable/Disable connection. If you have both machines with WinXP you'll be able to enable/disable the connection through ur lappy.

Ok, I got the network setup and its working 100% with my dial-up. (Even works with my Nintendo DS for Mario Kart online play).

Now how do I go about making this network secure? It looks like anyone can access my network by being in range. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G router but it didnt come with a manual or anything.

Thanks for any info.

Log into it and enable encryption in the Wireless tab.

Check Linksys' website for manuals.
