I have an issue installing Windows Xp. I boot the installation cd but remains stuck at " starting up windows screen" What is the cause of this or how to fix it.?

9 times out of 10 when I get problems like that its related to ram, either its set to high, voltage is wrong or memory is bad.
Could also be a bad hard drive or it could be a heating issue.
So make sure everythign is set to its spec speeds, if you have a couple sticks of ram try them one at a tiem, see if that helps.
also you can grab Memtest (http://www.memtest.org/) to test the ram, it'll boot from a floppy.

make sure the bios is up to date also.. I had a similar problem with a asus k8v board
