Can you be more specific about what kind of crashing? Is it a hard lock, does it have an error message along with it, does the system recover afterwards (i.e. a ctrl-alt-del fixes things) etc.
Also, can you list your system specs?
If you don't find any answers here, make sure to check out ea's bf2 forums.

I'd head into your My Docs/Bf2 folder and delete all the folders inside your cache folders. It could be a shader corruption issue. It happened to me a while back when Leviathon wouldn't load in SF. I delete the cache folder and it fixed it up.

oh you mean the mods folder. it also has the xpack which the folders inside should go.

No, not in the install directory, but in the "C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache" directory. Empty out the cache and restart. It will re-optimize shaders but you should be good-to-go.

Ya dat what I meant, thanks. :)
I still have random crashes now and then and I don't think they're ever going to go away. I would say 3 or 4 per week and that's out of about 12 hours per week play time.

The connection problem is common. If you lose your connection the vehicles/objects just keep going in a straight line.
The other pics are just plain funny. LOL
I don't know what to tell you...

I think I fixed the problem with the funny pics. I just restored 2 of the cachie folders.
