Hi, For aobut 3 months now, i've been running my Kingston HyplerX PC3500 CH-5 at DDR500 @ 2-2-2-5-1T 3.3v. using both memtest 86+ and the windows based memtest it was stable for 8+ consecutive hours. Just recently, i've been having some crashing problems and i've managed to eliminate everything except the RAM. I tried the ram in my brother's computer and it worked perfectly, yet, at stock speed and timings in my computer it won't boot into windows. I've tried flashing 3 or 4 different bios' and used the guide at dfi-street to get the most stable possible settings. Normally, I'd just say i fried the ram from running it at 3.3v, but it runs flawlessly in my brother's computer. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

bios on your dfi? what ram slots are you using? how much voltage were you giving your cpu? do other sticks of ram work just find in your computer?

i've tried all three different versions, and i'm using the orange ram slots. i'm giving my cpu 1.4v(i turned it back to stock when i started having problems.) and yes, i've used other ram and it works just fine.

gah... high vdimm + low vcore = :(
though, if other ram works jsut fine.... it's probably some settings that you're using that used to work fine, but is slowly becoming less optimal as your ram/memory controller slowly deteriorates

well it works just fine, no? just not with the ram you want to use with it... and the ram you want to use works fine in another rig.. right?

yeah, so should i try to rma my ram? there's no way i'm switching hyperx for generic ram, and i don't have enough money to sell this ram and buy new.

well, it works too... just not in your rig, so that's not an option either. plus, you technically voided warranty, but i doubt they'd really care if it came to that
does the ram work fine at stock speeds.. if you clear the bios, load optimized defaults and just boot up?

No, I've tried this many times with many bios' and i've even tried loosening the timings with no luck. I managed to get it to boot and run fine at ddr200 3-3-3-8 which is what i'm using now.
