Lets start with System Specs i have:

AMD 4400+ X2 at 1.45 in bios, 1.52 shows up in cpu-z. at 240mhz multipier 11
Zalman 120mm heatsink i believe its the 7700 model.
2GB OCZ Gold GX 2x1gb PC4000
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
and 2 x BFG 7800GT
canopus capture card
sb audigy 2

case is Antec P160 with 1 120mm enermax fan in front, 1 120mm enermax fan on top, and one 120mm antec fan in back.

i was using nTune to mesure temps.

yesterday after playing 2-3 hours in Empire at war,

my CPU temp was at 58c
system at 48c
video cards at 55-60c

idle i get about
CPU -42-45
system 38-41
video cards 40-44

i was thinking about adding a another 120mm side fan.

what else would you recommend?

Agreed, try aiming that 120mm side fan at the gpu's and also you might consider getting a 'fan controller' and higher cfm/low noise fan replacements. Yate loon, Cooler master, papst are a few good brands. GL

Your video cards are probably adding a lot of heat in your case, so using an exhaust-type VGA cooler like the Arctic Cooling NV silencer rev.3 will push that heat directly out of the case, instead of adding to it.

I forgot; if that's the board with a heatpipe then you will probably get lower temps if you replace the Asus thermal 'crud' of the heatpipe with AS5. My mobo temps went down by about 5C when I did that on my A8n32-SLI:

A hairdryer six feet from your ear. quick chart (http://www.chem.purdue.edu/chemsafety/Training/PPETrain/dblevels.htm)

The side fan may assist you when combined with some good after market coolers. Also do some research into a more efficient CPU cooler like the Scythe Ninja combined with a low speed 120mm fan.

Scythe (http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu_top.html)

edit (if you go with the Ninja, get a low speed 40mm or 60mm to blow over the mosfets)
