Mojo

I recently got a new 200gb Seagate SATA drive and I had a bit of trouble getting it hooked up and working properly. I couldn't get my board to recognize it.. it wouldn't show up in the BIOS, it wouldn't show up in My Computer under Manage... etc. Turns out I needed a new BIOS update, so I got that..
I updated my motherboard's (Asus K8V, shitty I know) BIOS to version 1007 and the drive is now recognized and I formatted it as a Dynamic drive. However, now when I start up my computer it rests at the BIOS splash screen for about 2-3minutes (much longer than EVER before). Before, my computer used to start up in under a minute!
Does anyone know how I could dramatically reduce my startup time without messing up my drive... I'm at school right now and I can't deal with my computer effing up I need this partition to last until May.
Also, I didn't really know what I was doing when I selected Dynamic drive... was a that a good/bad choice? I need some general feedback on that matter in general from the good people at [H]. :)
