Hi all

Ive ran out of IDE sockets and channels on my mobo (Gigabyte k8VNXP). I have two green RAID IDE sockets on the mobo and am wondering if I can use them as regular IDE sockets connecting a harddrive to them in a non RAID mode.

Never tried it before and want to ask before I go ahead and buy an IDE harddrive.

Thanks

I've used RAID IDE channels as non raid - the only difference is that they "can" work in RAID, other wise they can be used as a regular IDE Channel.

Peace,
Tim
