hi i am installin reinstalling win xp pro into my comp at the moment, the first time installed it everything worked den afte ri install the drivers it restarted and said im missin something DRIVER.something i cant remember den it says it can be fixed by usin the xp disc by pressing "R" i did so but i dont know what to do in the next step so i just exit it and i am reinstallin with xp with sp1 the last one had sp2, this is a brand new built comp, i have a WD 250gb sata 72000rpm, 3.0gb/s, the first time i installed xp it showed 238xxxmb and after the error i reinstalled xp pro i deleted teh partition that had xp pro already there and the number drops to half den less 131xxx i dont knwo what to d this is very frustation becuz the it took me about an hr and half just to format it the first time HELP ME PLEASE!!! :(

I am not completely sure what you are trying to say but if you are talking about the partition size in the installer you should be able to delete the old partitions which sounds like what may be happening. If it is not you may try re-explaining the above in a clearer manner using at least somewhat close to proper sentances.

I think your problem is a lack of SP2 - only seeing 131 gb of a drive is the classic symptom. You can slipstream SP2 with a program called nLite; give that a try and let us know how it works.
